Granny Smith's birth date

Maria Ann Smith, better known as Granny Smith, was sort of a legendary figure where I grew up, because it was in that neighbourhood that she had lived and produced the apples that bear her nickname. I believe that she was born in late-1799 but don't have a DOB for her. I have her in the Book of Days at her date of death, March 9, 1870. Any ideas?
